Asian-American quartet Far East Movement hit the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart with Like A G6, featuring The Cataracs and Dev.
Far East Movement consists of members Kev Nish (Chinese/Japanese American), Prohgress (Korean American), J-Splif (Korean American) and DJ Virman (Filipino American). Not sure if they are first Asian-American artiste(s) to top the Billboard, but great achievement regardless. Congrats.
They currently hold the #1 spot on iTunes with current single "Like A G6" which is also set for another jump on the Billboard Hot 100 this week (#6). As for the album the guys made it clear in my interview with them that they wanted people to "feel free and get wild" when listening to the effort. I can proudly say, mission accomplished. The album is a non-stop dance party from beginning to end. Filled with electro-pop and hip-house numbers ready to explode in the clubs. 出生於加州韓國城的Kev、Prohgress和J-Splif，高中時期就是成天膩在一起的死黨，對音樂有著相同理念與抱負，三人開始靠網路散播作品，同時尋求當地俱樂部表演機會。2006年發行首張專輯『Folk Music』，以“Round Round”打響知名度。2008年加入DJ Virman，同時推出『Animal』大碟，其中爆紅歌“Girls On The Dance Floor”，締造MySpace超越500萬次點擊率、YouTube的100餘萬瀏覽記錄，攀上拉丁榜Top27！
