In this year’s Hong Kong Book Fair, besides that some “soft models (嫩模)” played as spoilers to release their near nude pictorial books (read the old story that Angelababy’s Paradise was banned from Hong Kong Book Fair here), Du Huidong (杜惠东), former studio executive who’s been active in the entertainment circle for near 40 years, also caused quite a stir with his new book Little Stars (繁星点点). The book exposed many secret stories of famous celebrities like Jackie Chen (成龙), Teresa Teng (邓丽君), Anita Mui (梅艳芳), which we have never known before. It was reported that these secret offstage stories are even more “spectacular” than the celebrities’ onstage performances; however, the book also pissed off many of the fans who wanted to defend the name for their idols. Angered fans of Anita Mui even urged Du Huidong to recall his book immediately, but Du responded to say that Anita Mui fans are behaving unreasonably and he’s not afraid of causing offense to others as he tells the truth.
But what caused controversy even more is that famous martial arts actor Jackie Chan was exposed to have starred porn films before. According to May Daily (a comprehensive English-language portal for Chinese celebrity news), Du Huidong published some old photos of Jackie Chan and claimed Jackie filmed a number of porn movies at an early stage of his career. And Du also big mouthed in his book that Jackie and Teresa Teng (邓丽君) had an affair but in the end he chose to marry Lin Feng-chiao (林凤娇), in 1982.
