美麗女聲 Glasser (aka Cameron Mesirow) - Ring

Glasser - Ring - September 28 - True Panther - Debut album from Glasser, aka Cameron Mesirow, is a wonder of artsy minimalist songs/compositions fleshed out with an expansive array of wide-screen instrumentation and orchestration. Working with producer Ariel Rechtshaid, Mesirow has upped the ante in both style and substance from her earlier stark sonic portraits, adding warmth and more distinctive melodic curves to what were once rigid poly-rhythmic workouts. Helping to no small degree is Mesirow's voice, a thing of beauty capable of taking a song such as "Home", backed with layers of handclaps and strings, to gloriously mind-bending heights. Think Feist with a Bjork-ian outlook.

Cameron Mesirow is Glasser, a one-woman tour-de-force of minimalist, poly-rhythmic pop. "Home" comes from her September 28 album Ring (True Panther), an album that moves with a nimble and surefooted grace. As we noted in our earlier feature, "think Feist with a Bjorkian outlook".
