Do you dare put something so lovely on cake? If they look as delicious as these flower pieces, you just might have to.

Of course, I couldn't commit to one direction for this post though. While I do love my bridal whites, I'm still a sucker for soft palettes, especially when they're in the form of a wedding cake of cheese! Now I'm really in heaven.

Toby Chan Scandalously Won Miss Hongkong Title

Toby Chan unexpectedly seizes the 2010 Miss Hong Kong crown, netizens suspect pageant was fixed.

August 1 evening, the “2010 Miss Hong Kong” finals ended with #13 Toby Chan [Chen Tingxin] grabbing the crown. Prior to the competition, it was exposed that her travel agency boyfriend was a sponsor of the Miss Hong Kong pageant, with rumors that the winner was predetermined. Toby Chan, and with the final results conforming to the rumors, many netizens questioned whether TVB had ran a fixed competition. To this, Toby Chan disagrees: “I was very confident I would win, so it was not a surprise. I won on the average, winning because of performing well in multiple areas.”

Monday Work Wear {Too Cool for School}

As so many people head back to class and we officially say goodbye to summer, at least we get to usher in the joys of fall fashion! As you may have noticed, I've already been coveting it for weeks, and now I can make it official.

These straight off the street looks are definitely wetting my whistle for a few new additions to my fall wardrobe.

Tasty {Summer Siesta} Tuesday

If I could press pause to fully enjoy this beautiful 80-degree late August day, I'd first send out a lovely invitation inviting my nearest and dearest to a sweet supper by the (imaginary) pool.



I'd start the evening off with some delicous cold salad of avocado, shrimp and endive.



I'd continue to keep things light and fresh to pair nicely with the warm night air. Corn and basil stuffed tomatoes and salade nicoise would fit the bill.

I'd end the satisfying night with fresh stone fruit, honey and ricotta coupled with huckleberry and sweet cream cupcakes.

Monday {Camel-Colored} Work Wear

This morning, as I came upon the first cold morning dew on my windshield I was reminded that September really is just around the corner! Sad, I know, but also brilliant for those of us who looovveeee fall fashion. Especially when it means I can start pulling out sumptuously yummy colors like camel.

The classic style makes saying goodbye to sunshine so much easier to stomach.

Speaking of classic style, I also have a very fun project to announce today!

This fall, the husband and I are offically embarking on a complete home overhaul. I'm talking redoing bathrooms, kitchens, floors, walls, landscaping - you name it, we're tackling it, all with the goal of turning our out-of-date abode into a timelessly stylish home.

This will mean lots of DIY projects, countless trips to the design center and Home Depot, files and files of inspriation and many, many, many blog posts! I do hope you'll enjoy coming along on this journey with me. I have a feeling it's going to be a doozy.

Happy {Refresh} Weekend

My dears, I don't know how your week was, but I thought Tuesday was Friday, yesterday was next week and now I don't seem to know my own name. Do you know that feeling? I suspect you do. I'm really hoping to use this weekend to press pause, refresh and get re-inspired.

Wedding Wednesday {Makin' A Jump!}

Luvies, I have some very exciting news to share!
