Cassandra Ventura (born August 26, 1986), known by her stage name Cassie, is an American model, hip hop singer-songwriter, dancer, actress and occasional music video actress. Cassie is best known for her single "Me & U", which became a hit in 2006. The singer's self-titled debut album, Cassie, was released on August 8, 2006. The album spawned two singles, "Me & U" and "Long Way 2 Go", and sold 321,000 copies in the US. Following "rocky" live performances, Sean "Diddy" Combs said that he would be working with Cassie to develop her music career.
Cassie's second studio album, tentatively titled Electro Love, is scheduled to be released in 2009. The album's buzz single, "Official Girl", featured rapper Lil Wayne. The album's official first single, "Must Be Love", featuring Diddy, was sent to radio in April 2009 with a digital release on April 14th, 2009.
Cassie has recently fallen “victim” to another celebrity computer hack and nude pictures of her are now floating around on the net. She’s responded via twitter:
“IT SEEMS THAT SOMEONE HAS HACKED INTO MY COMPUTER…THAT’S REAL FOUL AND EVIL. NOW STOP ACTING LIKE YOU HAVEN’T SEEN A TITTY BEFORE.”
Responding to questions to her website:
"The recent personal pictures that have been leaked on the internet of me were hacked and stolen out of my computer," she wrote. "These photos were obviously never intended for the world to see and it’s sad that people would really take time to steal and post them, it’s just evil. At the end of the day breasts are breasts, mine weren’t the first you’ve seen and they won’t be the last ... people need to grow up, let’s move on. Thank you."
Most people have never heard of Cassie but they will after these get passed around. We smell a publicity stunt! The timing of all of this publicity is perfect for the singer (who also recently shaved half her head) as new album ‘Electro Love’ is due out on June 23rd.
Whether or not this was for media attention or her computer was actually hacked, doesn’t really matter to me. What matters is that the girl has some nice titties with nipple rings. I’m impressed! This is the kind of talent I’ve been looking for in an R&B singer. Move over Rihanna.
